Dr. Shanmugasundaram is a vibrant individual and has a calming aura around his patients. He specializes in Renal Transplantation & Vascular Access procedures, Reconstructive Urology, Uro-Oncology, Endo Urology, Female Urology and Laparoscopic Urology. He has performed over 550 Laparoscopic Donor Nephrectomies and over 225 Renal Transplantation Procedures. He has special interest in Urethroplasties and repair of Complex Genitourinary Fistulae in women.  He is fluent in English, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. He is an avid marathon runner, actively playing batminton.
